As you may have seen in our latest announcement, AGT is excited to share that we have a Crestron Diamond Level Master Programmer on our team. James Pope, an industry veteran with over 20 years of experience in the audio visual field, is the first Diamond Level Master Programmer, making AGT the only Crestron dealer in the audio visual industry with this depth of technical knowledge right now. James became part of our team this year after working with AGT on several high-profile A/V projects.
James has an impressive background and history with Crestron. He was one of the original 12 who formed the Crestron Authorized Independent Programmers (CAIP) program, now known as the Crestron Service Provider (CSP) program. James has participated in every Crestron Master Class since they began, earning the status of Silver, Gold, Platinum and now the most elite level, Diamond.
So, what exactly is a Diamond Level Master Programmer? Crestron Master Programmers hold the highest respect in the audio visual industry due to the challenging training, extensive experience and testing required to achieve their status. Those who achieve the “Master” designation earn Silver, Gold, Platinum or Diamond status depending on the number of classes they attend and exams they pass. According to Crestron, “At present, there are 189 Silver Master Programmers (3 years of Masters Classes), 38 Gold (6 years of Masters Classes), 10 Platinum (9 years of Masters Classes), and just one at the very rarified Diamond level (12 years of Masters Classes).”
James currently provides engineering and programming expertise to AGT clients located around the world. We are happy to have him on our team, and we look forward to seeing where this expertise will take our company and clients in the future.
