As 2015 comes to a close, we find ourselves reflecting on the past year and the excitement it brought to AGT. From the launch of our brand new website to high-profile audio visual installs, this year has been a great one for our company. Here’s a quick review of our 2015!
Updated Services
We started 2015 off on a high note by announcing the latest release of our iOS and Android mobile video conferencing application, which included several feature enhancements, an updated user interface and improved conference controls. To further improve our customer and partner experience, we announced another release of our cloud video conferencing service on all devices in October. The newest EncoreB2B showcases a refined look and feel, new video meeting features and layout options, and additional branding and API capabilities for AGT partners. We gave our blog readers behind-the-scenes looks at the mobile app updates and cloud video service updates in Q&A blog posts with our developers – check them out!
Expanded A/V Project Portfolio
This year we announced several A/V projects with clients from various industries. One of our most popular projects includes the install we completed at the Clarence Brown Conference Center, a local event venue located in Cartersville, Ga. AGT led Clarence Brown’s transition from analog to digital systems in their collaborative environments by designing, installing and programming the latest Crestron solutions into the facility’s A/V systems and infrastructure. Another exciting install included a multi-campus InFocus Mondopad implementation at Brenau University, a private education institution with eight locations throughout Georgia and Florida. Brenau University selected AGT for overall project management, installation and programming of nearly 60 Mondopads to maximize the school’s instructional resources.
New Website
One of AGT’s biggest accomplishments of 2015 was the launch of our brand new website – do you love it as much as we do? Our old website needed a facelift, so we completely revamped it the beginning of this year. Our new site includes a responsive design on both desktop and mobile devices, refreshed content, a new look and feel and improved functionality.
Industry Trade Shows
This year we attended two of the largest industry trade shows – Enterprise Connect and InfoComm 2015 – where we showcased our audio visual expertise, managed services and cloud video conferencing offering. Our CEO Mark Cray also spoke on an IMCCA panel titled “Touch & Collaborate: The Interactive Display Comes of Age,” where he gave an integrator’s perspective on interactive touch displays and their impact on the A/V industry. Trade shows present a great opportunity for us to network with others in our industry and to learn more about the latest trends and technology solutions, and this year did not disappoint. What was your favorite trade show of 2015?
New Certifications
This year our A/V, Sales, IT and Client Care teams earned several industry certifications that will help us better serve our clients moving forward. Most notably, AGT team member Jim Pope earned the elite status of Crestron Diamond Level Master Programmer, the first in the world. Jim achieved the highly regarded status in spring 2015 after completing 12 years of Crestron Master Classes. AGT also announced we are an Express Collaboration Specialized (ECS) partner of Cisco.
A/V Month
The last big highlight of 2015 was AGT’s participation in A/V Month. We celebrated the A/V industry by conducting a survey of clients, partners and industry professionals to gain insight on how end users are utilizing their A/V environments and what their goals are for 2016. In addition, we continue to support the Lighthouse Foundation, an Atlanta-based organization we partnered with last year, by donating a free cloud video conferencing account to help the Lighthouse Foundation with its collaboration initiatives.
This year was a great one for AGT, and we look forward to seeing what 2016 will bring internally and externally. What was your favorite part of 2015?
