Applied Global Technologies® Offers Customers a Triple Play With Its New Video Network Management Service (VNMS) Triple Play Package includes exclusive hardware, software and onsite personnel
Rockledge, FL - March 2, 2005 - Applied Global Technologies, proven experts in IP collaboration technologies and solutions, announces its ground breaking Video Network Management Service (VNMS). The VNMS enables customers to experience a successful video collaboration service through an exclusive "Triple Play Package" of on-site personnel, hardware tools that analyze IP video network performance and endpoint status and software that reports collaboration usage.
"One of the things we have learned from our managed services customers over the past five years is that more is required than simply placing a body on site," stated Mark Cray, director of managed services, Applied Global Technologies. "That is why AGT has created specific tools to improve the reliability of video communication for our customers."
As a comprehensive solution, Applied Global Technologies' VNMS Triple Play Package is available as a standard Managed Service and as a Remotely Managed Service. This flexibility provides options for customers not previously available in the marketplace.
The standard Video Network Management Service includes:
Full Time On-site Hub Technician
FATHOM Commander (Network Analysis and Endpoint Monitoring)
NEXUS c/A (Reporting and Analysis)
AGT's on-site personnel perform a variety services including end user support, operational support, troubleshooting, set up and facilitation of conferences, end user training and application development. One of the primary roles of the on-site personnel is to help each organization improve its use of conferencing in order to achieve each company's objectives.
The FATHOMTM hardware and software technology provides IP video network analysis and troubleshooting. Unlike any other tool in the market, FATHOM actually simulates H.323 IP video traffic directly to the endpoint, thus enabling on-site personnel to troubleshoot and retrieve vital network video parameter statistics. FATHOM also provides on-site personnel a tool from which to pro-actively monitor all endpoints on the customer network. With an alert system, FATHOM immediately notifies personnel of hardware failures and network outages.
NEXUS c/A is included in the VNMS offering in order to provide customers with an objective reporting of video and collaboration usage within the organization. This software solution captures the duration of conferences, site attendance in conferences, the number of collaboration resources utilized at given time period and a host of other conference statistics.
"The complexity of today's video networks and the fact that organizations are starting to realize the competitive advantage of having a healthy collaboration service, drives AGT to provide a higher level of innovative services to our customers each year," added Cray. "Despite the evolving technologies, our mission remains the same - to deliver a reliable video, audio and web collaboration service to our customers that ultimately improves their bottom line."
