AGT Reports Record Orders
for the Third Quarter and Year-to-Date Sales Growth of 40%
Dedicated collaboration managed services provider is on
track for ninth consecutive year of profitability
Rockledge, FL November 4, 2004 - Applied Global Technologies,
proven experts in IP collaboration technologies and solutions,
announces third quarter revenue of $6M and total revenue in
the first nine months of 2004 of $20.7M, a 40% increase over
the comparable period of the prior year. Orders for
the quarter totaled over $15 million, a 114% increase over
the third quarter of 2003, the previous record.
"We are excited about the market's response to our new
collaboration innovations and their integration into our dedicated
managed services," stated Mike Valletutti, Chief Executive
Officer, Applied Global Technologies. "Our exclusive
tools and expert personnel continue to differentiate AGT from
competitors who provide only basic hardware management and
scheduling services."
AGT closed the third quarter with a record contracted backlog
of $13M, excluding two variable, subscriber-based contracts
with expected additional revenue of $10 million over their
terms. That represents a 60% increase over the prior
year. The majority of the backlog will be recognized
over the next four quarters.
New managed services contracts propelled the growth in revenue
and backlog during the quarter. The Company closed multi-year
contracts with a leading wireless telecommunications company,
the U.S. Navy and the State of Georgia. Additionally,
AGT incorporated its exclusive collaboration Portal, PERSPECTIVE
c/P, into three new multimillion dollar contracts.
"Our ability to design and integrate a customer's A/V
rooms, evaluate and improve the quality of their networks,
bring group video and PC users together into the same meeting,
provide seamless access to presentations, and report and manage
the utilization of collaboration resources, distinguishes
the value of our service offering," added Valletutti.
"With this capability, we expect to announce several
other new contracts and partnership in coming months."
EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and
Amortization) doubled in the third quarter over the comparable
period of the prior year, growing to $900K year-to-date.
The Company continued to invest 3% of revenue in Research
& Development.
"Services and technology increased to almost 50% of revenue
in the quarter, up from 35% in the prior year," added
Harry Ericson, Chief Financial Officer, Applied Global Technologies.
"The Company's backlog of contracts includes high value
deliverables which will drive growth and profitability, as
we started to recognize in the third quarter."
