| GVNS – Georgia Video Network Service
We are the provider of the new State of Georgia video network – GVNS. In partnership with the Georgia Technology Authority and Bell South, AGT is providing its award-winning technology and expert service personnel to create the State’s new video service. Available to the State Agencies, AGT provides “On Demand” and “Scheduled” video conferencing features. On-Demand eliminates the need to schedule a video conference in advance. The features of the On-Demand service allow meeting hosts/chairpersons to initiate an on-demand multipoint meeting, access PowerPoint presentations, activate streaming and recording features – all without the assistance of a third party. An elegant on-screen, menu-driven user interface guides the hosts and the participants throughout a video call. The system utilizes Personal Identification Numbers (PIN) to control access to events and conferencing features. Participants without access to video conferencing equipment may participate in a video conference by connecting with a telephone. Power Point presentations may be viewed via the Web, in addition to the video conferencing system. All of this is done through smart, automated technology. With the High-Touch Scheduled Method, a video conference is scheduled in advance using either a web-based scheduler or a live help desk operator. At the appointed conference time, the video conferencing appliances are connected for a traditional video conferencing session. Both On-Demand and High-Touch provide the following features: - Video conferences may be point-to-point or multiple point.
- Video conferences are AES encrypted from end-to-end.
- AGT’s toll-free help desk will assist users.
GVNS supports H.320 to H.323 transcoding so dissimilar networks may connect to each other and H.239 for document sharing. The GVNS utilizes the State’s MPLS network and offers Class of Service to ensure high-quality audio and video.
